Where the geologist excavated to see how far down the rock is apparently

Big rocks that we thought were fixed.  Moved and saved for the garden or to be broken up for retaining walls.

 

 One day there will be a house on top of that rock...

Thinking about what to do with the bottom bit of the garden...need to improve/secure those steps down to the grass area.

The neighbour's build seems to be progressing quite well (driveway down to our place on right)

The turning of the first soil...

It has happened - work has finally started!  They excavated the driveway last week and are coming back to profile it today.

Start Date....

Word from WH is that work will start at the end of this week.  Hoo-bloody-ray!  Excavation of the driveway first - and removal of the interesting landfill which consists of old engines and possibly a bit of asbestos.

I popped by today and noticed that the builder behind us had already started leveling some of the driveway.  I wonder if WH will charge us less now there is less to do?!
